Listen up, fall 2018 ladies! Bridal Fashion Week has gone back and forth, and we’ve poured over each wedding dress to make your scan for the One as simple as could reasonably be expected. Need to know the most recent wedding-dress patterns previously you commence a period of wedding-dress shopping? We’re here for you, generally. While last season’s wedding-dress patterns aren’t going anyplace (off-the-bear, blue, lace), this season saw a new take on some of our favorites.
Capes are as yet going solid, but this season they’ve been upgraded from capelet to all-out princess cape. Off-the-bear dresses are still all over the place and ultra complimenting, but designers put a new spin on sleeves for them. And ladylike mid-length dresses have us all seeing visions of Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face.
From princess-enlivened capes to cool moto coats, separable sleeves, tea-length elegant gowns, and even shorts, these are the wedding-dress patterns we’re adoring for 2018.
The long, mid, or mini, capes were all over the Bridal Fashion Week runways, and we’re betting this year’s winter brides will be loving this trend.
There were plenty of cool wedding-ready moto jackets, topping off beautiful lace wedding dresses, to pick from. We guarantee this is one wedding-day piece you’ll wear again and again.
Call it the evolution of the off-the-shoulder wedding-dress trend. Designers are still intent on showing off brides’ shoulders, but this season that trend comes on and off! Detached sleeves were one of the big wedding-dress trends we spotted—from bouffant to slinky and lacy, they create the look of an off-the-shoulder dress while actually being a strapless dress.
NUDE PINK SHADE
The blush trend is getting a new take in varying shades of pink and nude. From hot pink and peach at Naeem Khan to soft shades of nude at Elie Saab, Alexandra Grecco, Inbal Dror, and more, this romantic wedding-dress trend is here to stay.
SHORT WEDDING DRESS
Legs out, fall 2018 ladies! While there were a lot of shy mid-length looks, that doesn’t mean planners turned out poorly broke when it came to small-scale wedding dresses—and shorts. Regardless of whether in full miniskirts, present-day high-low, or even short suiting, one year from now’s ladies should set out to go exposed
